Wild tweendom
A chill group
Where girls and non-binary kids
can vent, laugh and bond
Ann Farrar, LMHC, LPC is now accepting vaccinated participants for a supportive group for kids in rising 5th-7th grades in South Orange, NJ. Our meetings will focus on building self efficacy and emotional resilience by allowing time to talk and bond in a non- judgmental space. The group is recommended for sensitive kids who are respectful with peers and are ready to participate!
We will talk about what's going on in the world and investigate different ways to deal with it. We'll knit, draw, and hang out while embracing our differences. In discussions, kids will collaborate by sharing what works for them when they're feeling stressed and asking the group and its guide for help with their challenges. We start December 2 and go through Jan 27, skipping 12/23. Meetings are on Friday afternoons from 3:45-5:00. Location is at a downtown South Orange office.
Cost is 250.00 and sliding scale is available if financial need is demonstrated. A short intake questionnaire is required to assess whether it's a good fit. The group will be limited in size due to space and to minimize COVID risk.
